The School reserves the right to make changes to the admission calendar and venue as and when necessary. Any such changes will be communicated in advance via the school’s notice board and website.

General Information

Registration for the Entrance examinations is online via examcenter.ng portal (See Begin registration below). Candidates are required to create a profile and provide the necessary information including a passport photograph. Registration fee is also paid electronically. 

Registration fee is N15, 000 (non-refundable) for candidates in Nigeria, and $200 for candidates outside Nigeria. Late registration fee is N20, 000.

Candidates (boys and girls) who wish to enter JSS1 should be 10 years old or close to it in the first term of their Basic 7 (JSS 1). Falsification of age may lead to withdrawal of provisional admission.

Your examination ticket/photocard (to be printed at the end of registration) grants the candidate access into the examination hall. Failure to present the examination ticket/photocard attracts a fine of Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000) only.

The entrance examination comprises of MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH LANGUAGE. The examination is based on the curricula developed by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) for Basic 4-6.

 

The entrance examination schedule is as follows:

8am – 9:30 am

10:00 am – 11:40 am

Mathematics

100 minutes

11:40 am – 12:10 pm

Restroom break

  30 minutes

All candidates must be seated in exam room

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

English Language Examination

60    minutes

Please note that:

  • Candidates are expected to have the following items with them in the examination room: i. Examination ticket/Photocard, ii. HB pencils (2), iii. Eraser, and iv. Sharpener.
  1. Candidates should have breakfast before check-in/accreditation into the examination room and can have their water bottles during the examination.
  2. Candidates who are late to the examination will NOT be given extra time.

As a matter of policy, test scores/ranks are NEVER PUBLISHED or RELEASED.

The school shall not be held responsible if any candidate fails to sit for the entrance examination on the date aforementioned.

The following centres/exam class are available for the 2023/24 entrance examinations. Candidates are advised to choose a centre nearest to their location. Any Candidate who presents himself/herself at the wrong centre will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

Review Questions

As practice guide, the Past Entrance Examination Questions booklet are available for prospective students. The booklet can be purchased at the school premises. A soft copy can be ordered via sending a request to info@stfrancismagis.org

Interview

Candidates who are shortlisted for interviews will require the following documents:

  • JSS 1 CANDIDATES
    Photocopy of Birth Certificate or Baptismal Card
    B. Photocopy of National Identification Number (NIN) slip/card

  • TRANSFER CANDIDATES (JSS 2 and SS1)

All provisional admission offers must be accepted within the window period stated in the admission letter. All offers not accepted within this period WILL NO LONGER BE VALID.
